What is too dark in a living room?
I paint my living room / dining room, and I am perplexed. My plants are oak laminate with mocha / Multi Rug (about medium blue / pink colors mixed in), a medium brown sofas and curtains in the living room are of pure ivory, mocha Roman shades on French doors in the dining room (which leads to the outside). I want to go with light brown and medium toast, but I also think maybe a khaki brown. Is it too dark? Current color is white. Second question: Is a "form of" L "living space. Do not think to paint the living room and dining room the same color. There is a wall in the room that connects to the upstairs room (this is a bi-house with two levels). I leave blank because I do not want the same color as climbing stairs. Is this correct? Could be bored with the color brown. Do you have another color in the same direction, pillows, frames, vases, etc.? If not, ditch the idea of more brown. Maye paint a wall brown color and a plan and decoration of the wall with an accent of color to liven things up. My parents shave a muti-level house like yours and has two walls of her house painted the same color. Above The other two are white and go. Sounds great.
